Much of the interaction between the Sages is restricted to defeating Ganon and helping Link do so. Having to work as a team, it can be surmised that the Sages do get along together, if only for the sake of Hyrule and Link. This section speculates on how each Sage may get along with Saria, based on fact, guesses, and Sage symbolism.

Darunia · Despite their conflicting elements, Darunia and Saria probably get along quite well. Both are cheerful and dedicated to protecting their people. In the past, Saria's Song helped alleviate Darunia's depression over Dodongo's Cavern being sealed. They are quite comfortable with each other, as seen by how Saria casually rides on Darunia's back. Although Darunia's Sage of the Fire Temple, his other element is rock; rock and forests are connected, so that may be why these two seem to get along best.

Ruto · Water and forest go along well: water provides the forest's nourishment, as Ruto would probably provide Saria with support. The only confliction that Ruto and Saria might have is their feelings for Link. Ruto may become jealous of Saria for being so close to Link, and Saria might dislike the fact that Ruto is Link's fiancée. This might be what would prevent them from becoming close friends.

Impa · While both are somewhat reclusive and mysterious, their personalities otherwise conflict. Impa is dark and imposing, while Saria is usually light and cheerful. Impa, being much more experienced, may be a role model figure for Saria. Although they do get along, it doesn't seem like they'd be good candidates for a close friends.

Nabooru · Since Saria often communicated with the spirits of the forest, it can be deduced that she would like Nabooru, Sage of the Spirit Temple, well. However, Nabooru is a very strong, imposing individual, which may intimidate Saria a bit. She's also a fighter, unlike Saria. Still, they both have fun, fresh personalities which may be a good grounds for friendship.

Zelda · Zelda appears to be the type of person that gets along with everyone. She's a well respected lady, with a caring heart and bright intelligence. Even if she had any feelings for Link, it's doubtful she'd be the type to get jealous or possessive of the closeness between him and Saria. The element of light is a provider for the forests, and so it's probable that she and Saria would get along quite well.
