Mido ·
Even though he is the leader of the Kokiri, Mido is generally disliked by most due to his
ruffian attitude and self-centeredness. He especially doesn't get along with Saria's closest friend Link,
being eternally jealous of him receiving the majority of Saria's attention. Despite this, he and Saria are friends: it
appears she sees something in him that the rest don't.
Mido treats Saria with the utmost respect, and everyone except she and Link
know he has a crush on her. He often promises to do nice things for her to get her to like him in return, but instead ends up forcing
someone else to do the job (such as the poor Kokiri coerced into pulling out the weeds around Saria's house).
He is steadfastly loyal though, and later even risks guarding the entrance to the infested Sacred Forest Meadow where the Forest Temple
and Saria both reside.
If Mido is sincere about anything, it's his feelings for Saria. When the Sages unite and help Link defeat Ganon, bringing
peace back to Hyrule, Saria doesn't return - just as Link warned. While everyone else is celebrating, Mido sits on the sidelines, depressed and
disheartened. Certainly the other Kokiri, even though celebrating, miss Saria; but Mido's feelings are quite a bit deeper
than theirs, and he's hit hard by her disappearance. Saria appears to sense this and, while travelling over the partying
people with the other Sages as an orb of emerald light, sends down to Mido the feeling of her presence to comfort him.
The Kokiri ·
The Kokiri are quite close with one another and get along well, but by far the most popular of them is Saria. They look up to
Saria because of her mature and friendly
nature. Sometimes they are unsure of her decisions, such as when she completely accepts Link, an outcast, as one of their
own. Out of their respect for her, they tend not to bother her when she makes such a decision or goes off on her own. In the
end, the Kokiri who cares the most for her is Mido.
The Sages ·
The Sages are a varied group, and aside from their connection to Link, and Zelda and Impa's connection to each other, they
had never met before awakening as Sages. In fact, as each Sage decided to stay in their respective temples after being
awoken, it's probable that they didn't meet until the final battle with Ganon. Judging their thoughts and feelings towards
Saria is therefore very difficult. The one common goal they have that brings them together is to aid the Hero of Time in
defeating Ganon. After this feat and the game's end, it's all up to speculation.
The Great Deku Tree ·
Saria and the Great Deku Tree have a good relationship. Saria is probably the Kokiri whom visits him most. She's said in
passing that she and the Great Deku Tree have conversed on important matters, such as the locations of the Spiritual Stones,
so it's probable that the Great Deku Tree had a lot of trust in Saria. Everything that Saria knows about the outside world was told to her by
the Great Deku Tree. She looked up to him as a mentor, while he considered her as the brightest Kokiri. He also probably
knew about her being the Sage of the Forest, and taught her in order to help her out in the future when she would
awaken as a Sage.
